Why do we snore?

When we inhale and exhale during sleep, we snore due to tremors in the soft tissues of our neck and head.

These soft tissues are found in our nasal passages, tonsils, and upper part of the mouth.

Avoid alcohol

Alcohol makes the muscles more relaxed during sleep and makes the airways narrower and narrower. In this case, it is advisable to avoid drinking alcohol before going to bed.

Lie down

When you lie on your back, your tongue, chin, and the fatty tissue beneath your chin can block your airways. If you snore in such a situation, go to sleep on one side.

Nose straps

There are many products on the market that help prevent snoring. The idea behind the nostrils is to keep your nostrils open. It works when you snore through your nose. But there is little evidence that they are really useful.

Keep your nose clean

If you have a cold and your nose is blocked, you are more likely to snore. In this case, clean your nose thoroughly before going to bed. You can also use a nasal decongestant product. This will relieve the swelling of the very thin blood cells in the nose. It is also usually caused by an allergy. It also gives instant relief from a stuffy nose.

Lose weight

If you are overweight, there may be more fatty tissue near your chin. They can narrow the airway and obstruct the flow of air. Maintaining a healthy weight in such a situation can get rid of snoring.
